Drv valve installation

Hence the DRV or the balancing valve should be downstream of any individual equipment or a branch piping. The term double regulating valve ( DRV ) denotes to regulate water flow rate as well as pressure. It can change the flow rate from zero to max. The integral fixed oriface design offers greater accuracy, makes set-up easier and involves fewer connections reulting in lower installation costs.

I do not decipher either what is the control valve in this context.

To do the balancing with an ordinary DRV we assume that all the fan coil units are ON with a bypass line in the three way valve leg. When they are actually off, the balancing valve in the bypass line takes over to simulates the pressure drop of the coil. Once the valve is attached to the water supply pipe by means of its saddle bracket, the sharp valve needle is then screwed down to puncture the wall of the pipe and tap its water supply. These valves are designed to work with brass, copper, or steel pipes—they do not work with PVC, CPVC, or PEX plastic pipe.

Select the correct valve for your application by choosing a valve that matches the coil design flow rate. Below procedure will be followed to ensure that no mistake is made at installation stage with regard to the correct selection, positioning and installation of all the control valves and actuators assembly. To avoid rapid deterioration, two valves can be use one connected upstream to the other.

Installation, Operating and Maintenance Instructions.

The PRINCE valve model DRV is a differential poppet type double relief. This valve uses the same relief cartridge as the model RV. The double relief is used in systems that require cross over relief protection such a reversible hydraulic motor, or systems that require a cushion valve such as double acting cylinders. INTRODUCTION This guide explains how to select, install and operate Cimberio’s range of regulating valves and flow measurement devices. The products discussed are primarily intended for use in heating and air conditioning systems.

Where a by-pass is installe such a via a three way valve , the CS should be fitted on the pipe that is common to the main flow and the by-pass flow. A DRV can then be used on the by pass. The commissioning engineer will measure on the CS and flip the three port valve between full flow and by pass to set the two valves.

Hattersley assumes no responsibility or liability for typographical errors or omissions or for any misinterpretation of the information on the site and reserves the right to change without notice. A valve installed in any position other than vertical might not perform correctly. For flanged valves, be sure to draw the bolts down evenly. This is especially crucial for cast iron valves.

Special attention should be paid to not bend or twist the casting when mounting. Doing so may cause the valve to fail. Valve must be mounted on a flat surface.

DRV - Double Regulating Valve. Looking for abbreviations of DRV ? It is Double Regulating Valve. This installation caused turbulence and disc flutter due to a distorted flow profile.

The valves were cross tied to the other auxiliary feedpump discharge which had the potential to cause severe check valve slam due to reverse flow in the event of a pump trip. The term DRV refers to a great little item that plays a major role in the correct working of a heating or chilled water system. Unfortunately, its name is often incorrectly used and it often becomes simply an expensive lock-shield valve.

When referring to a DRV , what is often meant is a commissioning station (CS). Install a new gasket on the accessory drive assembly.
